    • 10 mins on the cross trainer

    • alternate between the assault bike and the ski erg 3 times with 30 secs on each

    • Finish with 5-10 mins on the rowing machine

2. Watch a show or listen to a podcast

It sounds silly, but this is genuinly one of the best ways to entertain yourself if you are going to be doing cardio for a lengthened period of time!

Why not catch up on your favourite show or listen to an episode of a podcast that you enjoy?

Don’t forget that machine are not the be all and end all - there are loads of different ways to include cardio in your sessions - here’s some examples:

  • medicine ball slams

  • kettelbell swings

  • burpees

  • step ups

  • box jumps

Cardio is about getting your pulse raising - you can do this in whatever way works for you!

4. Take your cardio outside of the gym

Cardio doesn’t have to be in the gym, you could take it outside by heading for a walk, hopping on the bike, maybe even going for a swim!
