Tips For Staying Well Before Christmas
This time of year is so busy for us all- and with so much to fit in, we run the risk of our bodies becoming overworked and run down.
No one wants to come down with a cold or feel unwell during Christmas week, so we’ve put together a few tips on how to stay well this week!
Stay Well Hydrated
Often when we are dehydrated we are more susceptible to all the little bugs that circulate in winter. Keeping well hydrated can help flush your body out and help keep you feeling well.
Remember that we should be aiming for at least 1-2 litres of water a day, so keep a water bottle on you throughout the day!
Vitamin D
This time of year we lack natural sunlight, and low vitmain D leevls can reult in the body feeling more fatigued and lacking in energy. If you are unsure about which strength of tablet you need, you can chat to a pharmacist or your GP but we recommend supplementing with a daily vitamin D dose throughout winter.
Sleep and Rest
We cannot emphasise enough how important it is to let your body have adequate rest this time of year, it’s so easy to get run down and tired that your body will struggle to cope with the demand.
Try to think about going to bed a little earlier this week, if you feel overly fatigued you may want to prioritise an extra hour in bed rather than an early workout (who though we’d say that?!).
Rest well now to enjoy Christmas!
